This international "Wine & Price 1998" Yearbook covers all relevant public wine auctions for the year in question. The auction prices have been systematically collated without price limits.

The information provides all essential details: variety, name of wine and producer, region quality, country, catalogue illustration, vintage, bottle size, quantity for sale, packing (e.g. original woodcase), condition (e.g. uliage, cork, capsule, label) bottling/bottling company (e.g. Belgium bottled) provenance, artists bottles, estimate, hamnier, price, auction, place and date of sale, catalogue number and other details are given when available for each entry, the price per single bottle has been calculated and given in French, German, US and UK currencies. Unsold wines (bought in) are also listed. The average price per bottle of each vintage is shown separately, together with an indicator of increase/decrease that allows comparison with the prices achieved in previous years.
