Big yellow turnip turns into the Scottish neeps and becomes part of the famous Scottish haggis meal which is very much enjoyed by two sisters and their Scottish Fold cat Tommy who is narrating this story. The three help their nana plant the turnip which grows so big that it takes the whole family to pull it out. Russian folktale 'The Turnip' was retold with the Scottish flair and adapted for English-reading children by Julie G Fox (author) & Aparna Bera (illustrator).
