Ideology and the Literacy Curriculum

In this paper the author explores the implied relationship between ideology, theory and praxis in literacy education. Specifically, he focusses on the nature of the relationship between teacher ideology and the ways that teachers organise their classrooms and teach their students, as well as the kinds of literate persons schools are trying to produce.
