Résumé du livre

First paragraph of Preface: This work is designed to serve as a systematic textbook of animal behavior for courses in psychology and biology. Part I covers the behavior of animals below the mammals, a comparative treatment in which we have endeavored not only to characterize each important animal type but also to work out certain fundamental principles of animal adjustment. In Parts II and III these principles are developed further as the major problems of animal psychology are atacked in connection with the behavior of mammals.
