Rivah Half-Elven is a master thief of the Court of the Masked King, the thieves' guild of the imperial city of Tar-Carmatheion. Yet she is in debt to dangerous people, and she needs a lot of money very quickly. 

So when she hears rumors of an ancient relic of the lizardmen coming to Tar-Carmatheion, she decides to steal it to pay off her debt.

But the relic might carry an ancient curse, one that brings only death to its possessors...
