William Frederick Mittendorf was born October 14, 1845 at Braunschweig, Germany. He married 1) Emma von Keith Zeuchner (1858-1884) 6 July 1876. They had three children. William graduated from Columbia University Medical School and practiced medicine in New York City. He married 2) Matilde Anonie Weigle (1865-1954) 12 Dec. 1865. He died in 1917 at Crugers-on-Hudson, New York. Descendants live in New York, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
