Résumé du livre
Wajdah is a play in four acts. Princess Wajdah, a Yemenite who lived in the seventh century, faces the challenge of reconciling faith and reason. Her dilemma is brought to a head when a young man claiming to be her long-lost son appears. Her search for the truth and her anguish make her struggle more intensely. Finally, she runs away to the desert to face a dramatic end. Rihani portrays a defiant Arab woman who questions everything and defies norms. It is believed to be the first play written in English by an Arab author.
