Roger is a yellow bellied marmot, a stowaway from Interior B.C. or Alberta, who finds himself stranded at Victoria's historic Empress Hotel. After evading several attempts by authorities to capture and deport him as an alien species,he takes up residence in a rock wall burrow, where he becomes a tourist attraction in his own right.
