The purpose of this application is by the suppression of the unused generic name Drepanites Benett, 1831, to conserve its junior homonym Drepanites Mojsisovics, 1893 and also its junior subjective synonym Hyphoplites Spath, 1922 each being the name of a Mesozoic ammonite genus.
