Carolyn Wells (June 18, 1862 - March 26, 1942) was an American author and poet, born in Rahway, New Jersey. She died at the Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York City in 1942. Patty-Bride is romance novel of Patty Fairfield Series. Patty Fairfield leaves her home with her father to spend a year visiting four sets of aunts, uncles and cousins and to learn about proportion. Patty and her father settle down in Vernondale and Patty learns about housekeeping. The book reveals the love story of Patty who gets married during World War I.
