Creating an Equity Investment Fund for the Firstar Corporation

The purpose of this thesis is to create the Firstar Equity Investment Fund and develop all the necessary tools to effectively operate Firstar Equity Investment Fund. The need to create this Fund became evident during the last community Reinvestment Act Compliance Examination by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This examination pointed out substantial community investment deficiencies by Firstar. The idea to undertake this thesis came as a result of this OCC examination. Firstar was well aware of this undertaking and encouraged this work, not only during my employment at Firstar, but after leaving Firstar and completing this work.
