Woodwin and Beckly is a book about two friends who do not fit in. They are magical animals and real flesh and blood animals distrust and dislike them. The forest is full of many different animals, but only one wooden mole and one alabaster weasel.If you have ever felt like you do not fit in to your peer group; if you are too fat, or too tall, or too short, or too skinny, or a different color, or poorer, or you like someone who is the same gender as you, or are too clumsy, or are a ginger, or you wear glasses, or have freckles, then you know how they feel.If others decide not to like you, they will find a reason to be cruel. Woodwin and Beckly do not have all the answers, but as you journey with them, you will see what works and what does not work to make them feel loved.
