Bumley McGrumm is a happy, eccentric inventor who lives in a strange land of peculiar folk. He has invented the world's tastiest curry and is very rich so, with his young neighbour, Coconut Jo, sets off with his lazy dog, Loaf, to visit the distant continent of Pangaea to seek adventure and also look for Jo's long lost Coconut people. However, they are pursued by a nasty man named Sneery Grindtooth, whose only aim is to get his hands on the delicious curry's recipe so he can make himself stinking rich, with the help of his parrot, Byron, who only speaks in rhyme. Bumley and Co meet some very weird creatures and people on their adventures; some friendly and others horrid. But will they manage to find Jo's long lost people - or will Sneery get his wicked way? This tale is full of enchanting oddities and wonderful sights - and smells!
