Résumé du livre
A concise history of the activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross during World War II. Aims to give a balanced answer to the question of the organization's share in the responsibility for the extermination of the Jews of Europe. Lists attempts by the ICRC to come to the aid of the victims, while shedding light on ambiguities among the Allies concerning human rights. Concludes that although the accomplishments of the ICRC were modest compared to the scope of the disaster, the dedication of its representatives was exemplary.
