In a city of the future, Zak and Helen are two best friends who are total opposites -- Helen is brave and reckless, Zak is quiet and careful. The friends, after being attacked by ferocious rats, soon learn that the rats are being used as a horrific political tool by Mayor Drina Boon and her henchmen. As they try to get to the bottom of the mystery, Zak learns that Helen may not be the most courageous of the two friends, as they find a way to warn their city about the truth.
