Résumé du livre
Blueschists are rocks formed during high pressure - low temperature metamorphism. They form within the crust at depths greater than 25km, in Earth's fairly cool environments such as at mountain belts and subduction zones. After burial, rapid uplift towards the surface is required if the blueschist mineral assemblage is to be preserved. Blueschists therefore provide us with a record of metamorphic and tectonic conditions within the crust in subduction-related environments and during mountain-building episodes. This book gives an overview of our current understanding of blueschist petrogenesis and evolution.
