The attached preliminary report ... represents completion of a minor but essential task leading to preparation of a Historic Presrvation Plan for Austin. This report attmepts to provide major rudimentary elements of Austin's physical development, starting with early architecture and townscape, for use in formulatiing policies and identifying areas deserving of special attention in the Historic Preservation Plan document.
