Résumé du livre
The Latin America Instability Matrix provides an analytical framework for signs of possible instability at the country level and cross-cutting factors that can either attenuate or exacerbate these risks. Based on 23 indicators spanning across socio-economic, political, security, resilience buffers and geopolitical threats, the Matrix highlights the complexity of challenges facing governments in the region today. While Venezuela is unsurprisingly the country assessed as most at risk overall, the Matrix unveils other possible instability triggers, including political turmoil in Peru, degenerating inequalities in Colombia and protracted violence in parts of Central America.
