This book presents the experiences of literacy practitioners and their participating students from a selection of case studies of several regions of Canada. Observations, facts, and interviews give an accurate picture of unique needs and common goals of literacy education. Contents highlight case studies in community building, students' special needs, activating student participation, language, and culture, as well as workplace literacy. Each case study chapter concludes with questions for further discussion.
