Naree the Fire Lady is about a little bush girl with special powers that allow her to communicate with the creatures that live in, and around, the big waterhole where she lives. Naree's family and friends know she is different and love her stories about the water hole and woodlands where the fires race, burning the old grass and leaves in the dry season. Naree has a special job though, and even when she has grown up and is unable to be with her family and her friends, she still tells them stories in an unusual and very beautiful way.
