Résumé du livre

A collection of articles, commentaries, and interviews, by Moor and others, dealing with the furor aroused in France surrounding Andrzej Wajda's film "Korczak", presented at the Cannes film festival in 1990. The film, depicting the life of Janusz Korczak, provoked a series of criticisms by Claude Lanzmann and other journalists, accusing the film and Wajda of being "antisemitic" and "negationist" (because the end of the film showed Korczak and the children walking off into a field and disappearing in the distance, rather than going directly to the gas chambers as happened in reality). The materials were collected here to show the absurdity of Lanzmann's accusations; they present positive opinions about this film, including items by Holocaust survivors and pupils of Janusz Korczak.
