Résumé du livre

The study investigates the nature of particular color intervals in deep sea sediment cores from the Arctic Ocean Basin to determine their origin and usefulness in stratigraphic correlation. Peculiar to many of these cores is a thin interval of salmon pink colored sandy lutite about 1-2 centimeters thick. The study obtains detailed information about these pink intervals, including textural, compositional, and stratigraphic relationships.
