Résumé du livre
Two important issue for an emerging inland saline aquaculture industry are: managing potential environmental impacts in an ecological, social and economic landscape that is already burdened by poor natural resource management decisions; and developing quality controls to ensure the product is both safe to eat and of a high and consistent quality. These two issues are intimately linked. A self-regulating industry that voluntarily adopts codes of practice to minimise environmental impacts of production, will also benefit from the marketability of a product that is perceived by consumers to be safe, of the highest quality and environmentally friendly.
