Résumé du livre
An investigation of the modern ecclesial role of parish director, utilizing scripture, Christian tradition, theological rational, cultural analysis and contemporary experience as means for providing a better understanding of the role and its value in the church today. Currently there exists a lack of understanding on the part of parishioners and priests as to the role of parish directors. Some research methods include surveys of leadership teams in six parishes operating with a parish director and personal interviews with five parish directors. The results obtained indicate that this position has an increasingly important role in the church. A newly produced brochure entitled "Choosing a Parish Director," clarifies this role so that others may easily understand how parish directors are an important element of church leadership today.
