Martin Yahner (1806-1883), son of Valentine Jahner of France and Rosina Stierheim of Bavaria, married Elizabeth Chardon in 1830, and in 1831 immigrated from Germany to Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Edward Michael Yahner (1869-1947), a grandson of Martin, married Anna Mary Cassidy, and moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa and else- where.
