Résumé du livre
Reports a reassessment of the regeneration, 12-18 years after initial harvesting, of a forest stand near Nipigon, Ontario. The main target species was black spruce, but regeneration data were also collected for jack pine, balsam fir, trembling aspen, and white birch. In addition, previously collected data are presented for one area from pre-harvest (1974) through harvest (1975) and for assessments at one to five years post-harvest. The objective of the study was to track changes in stocking and density as affected by the strip-cut method of harvesting. Results presented include changes in stocking from pre-harvest to 1992.
