Résumé du livre
The papers consist of two copies of a fifty-four page transcript from an end-of-tour interview with Major General Larry R. Jordan. The interview was conducted on 12 and 18 May 1995 at the United States (U.S.) Army Armor Center, Fort Knox, Kentucky, by Dr. John W. Cranston, Historian, and Dr. James W. Williams, Cultural Resource Manager, both employees of the center. The interview covered Jordan's reflections on his nearly two-year post as commanding general of the U.S. Army Armor Center and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Throughout the interview he touched repeatedly on the problems and challenges of research and development (R & D) in the Army. He also spoke about his military career, his leadership style, and his plan to preserve the history of the force and Fort Knox, using their museum and the physical plant. Additionally, Jordan noted what changes he would make if he were to stay at the Armor Center.
