Résumé du livre
This panel study of graduates from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Ankara, Turkey, was conducted in two waves, in 1956 and 1965. Of the 380 respondents surveyed in the first wave, 241 also answered the 1965 questionnaire. In addition, a new sample of more recent graduates from the Faculty of Political Sciences (69 respondents) was surveyed in the second wave, bringing the total number of 1965 respondents to 310. Faculty graduates constitute a critical part of the core of the Turkish administrative elite. The 1956 and 1965 questionnaires focused on graduates' career histories since leaving the university, their performance of administrative functions, aspects of their work that contributed to job satisfaction, and the relevance of their undergraduate studies to their professional lives. Demographic variables include sex and income.
