Contributions to Terrorism Prevention: State and Local Law Enforcement

Special Agent William McCormack, who serves in the Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI Academy, explains how all law enforcement agencies play an important role in thwarting heinous acts of terrorism. Officers encounter known and suspected terrorists in urban areas, as well as rural ones. With the growth of the joint terrorism task force concept and the information sharing of the Terrorism Screening Center, obtaining and analyzing information is substantially enhanced.
