Résumé du livre

"The goal of this project is to examine the influence of geomorphologic forces on the morphology and soil characteristics of hiking trails. ... The experiment is designed to observe these geomorphologic processes on existing hiking trails where these processes hsve been allowed to shape the trail for a relatively long period of time. These geomorphologic processes can be mediated through trail design variables, so this study tests three trail design variables - slope, drainage area, and length of slope - for their influence on trail degradation."--Page 6-7.
