Résumé du livre
S2The root rot caused by the fungus Fomes annosus is a serious threat to coniferous plantations throughout the North Temperate Zone. It is especially prevalent in plantations that have been thinned; and it commonly spreads through the roots from diseased trees to healthy news. In 1962-67 we conducted a series of experiments to provide preliminary information for testing the hypothesis; that a continuous band or zone of roots rendered unsuitable for invasion by F. annosus will prevent the underground spread of this fungus from diseased to healthy trees.S3.
