Soon after E.Y. Mullins arrived in Louisville, Ky. as president, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, his wife, Isla May Mullins, became ill and spent several months in Chicago, Ill. on the advice of her physician. She wrote these letters to Mullins during that period. Susie Mullins was E.Y. Mullins' unmarried sister who remained at home to care for her parents.
