Describes a field study to observe and analyze the association of obscure mealybug (OMB) with the Argentine ant, Linepithema humile, and the effect of eliminateng alternate weed hosts for OMB on grape infestation in Central Coast vineyards. Uses an experimental design of a split plot with presence or absence of weeds as the main plot factor and the presence or absence of ants as the subplot factor.
