Alexander and Eunice McCreery were the first known ancestors in America. Alexander was born June 3, 1760 in Little Britain, New Windsor Town, Ulster County (present-day Orange County), New York. He served in the Revolutionary War, volunteering May 1, 1777. He married Eunice Armstrong January 6, 1783 in Goshen, Orange County, New York and began their life in Hopewell, Montgovery Town, Ulster County, New York. They had ten children. In 1791 the family moved near Warwick in Orange County.The family moved to Ulysses, Seneca County, New York in 1799.
