How could I have known these words, "Will you have dinner with me tonight?" would lead to my eventual remarriage at age sixty-five? The commitment of marriage at any age is serious, but to enter into such a relationship in the latter years of life does certainly demand some serious processing. In my book Golden Love I have expounded on the major subjects that I feel from experience are those which particularly need to be dealt with when considering a late-life marriage. Though the book is written primarily for the benefit of the couple it would also be insightful for all family members involved as well as for those in the counseling profession. Understanding emotions, financial situations, living arrangements, and health issues are just some of the subjects involved.
