A critical essay about the restoration of The Lady with a Cameo by Alessandro Allori, who, thanks to Antonio Natali's work, we know to be Ortensia de Bardi di Montauto. It was Luisa Baccherucci who, in 1944, raised doubts about Bronzino's authorship of the lovely Portrait of the Lady with a Cameo which was first displayed in the Uffizi under this title in 1675, along with the assets of the estate of Cardinal Leopoldo de'Medici.
