Résumé du livre

Memoirs of a Jew born in 1928 in Paris. After his parents separated in 1934, he spent some time with a Catholic family and at the Atlantic coast taking care of his health, but joined his mother and her non-Jewish lover in Paris during the war. By posing as the lover's son, he avoided persecution and was baptized in 1941. His father was rounded up in Marseille in 1943 and deported to Drancy, after which his fate is unknown. Ichah deals with his Jewish self-hatred, triggered by the antisemitic atmosphere and propaganda in occupied France.
