This collection consists of a handwritten and a typed transcript of a diary describing her trip by steamboat from St. Louis to Fort Benton, Montana Territory, and then by stagecoach to Helena. Many of the descriptions of the progress of the steamboat, the passengers, other steamboats, Indians, and natural surroundings are quite detailed.
