Résumé du livre
STEVIE LAKE TAKES THE BIG APPLE! Stevie Lake is going on a class trip to New York City. Stevie can see herself hanging out in Greenwich Village, but her teacher thinks an eight-page paper is a much better idea. Well, Stevie has her own plans. She shakes her classmates and sets off to explore the Big Apple on her own. She ends up at the carousel in Central Park, which she loves. She meets lots of horses and people including a mounted police officer. When Stevies class wanders into the park, they dont have such a great adventure. Can Stevie and her new friends stop the school trip from turning into a disaster? HORSE CARE IS MORE THAN RIDING. When Lisa Atwood and her mother visit friends in a nearby town, Lisa doesnt expect to have a good time. She doesnt have a lot in common with Marguerite, the friends daughter, so it could be a long afternoon. But when Marguerite suggests that she and Lisa go riding, things start to look up. Marguerites horse is gorgeous, and shes very pleased with it. In fact, shes so pleased that she rides off and leaves Lisa on a strange trail. Lisa doesnt mind too much her horse is old but sweet natured and its a nice day. Then the mare stumbles, and Lisa is thrown. She cant ride and she cant walk. Shes alone with just the gorse for company. Can the horse care for Lisa and keep her safe until help arrives?
