The following manuscripts in the collection have not been cataloged: a 1785 writ and Allen's 1768 diary (both of which are filed in the folder in the manuscript box), and the folio volume of his book as a trial justice, 18 April 1786-12 March 1791. His diary, 23 pages, was originally bound in Bickerstaff's Boston almanac for 1768. Kept while he was living in Boston, it is a daily record of the weather with some shipping news and a few entries of a political nature. The trial record has 86 pages of entries plus an index at the end of the volume.
