Foulk Davis (ca.1615-ca.1687) immigrated from Wales or England to Southampton, Long Island, New York and married twice. He later moved to Jamaica, Long Island, New York. Joseph Davis (1773-1865) was a direct descendant in the sixth generation, born at Rocky Point, Long Island. Joseph married Elizabeth Hallock in 1800, and after 1826 they moved to land near McGraw, Cortland County, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, California and elsewhere.
