William Mason Buck (1809-1895), son of William Richardson Buck and Lucy Neville Blakemore, married Elizabeth Ann Ashby (1821-1904), daughter of William R. Ashby and Rebecca Buck (1792-1878), 3 April 1837. They had eleven children. Their eldest daughter and third child, Lucy Rebecca, was born in 1842. The family lived on a plantation named Bel Air near Front Royal, Virginia. Includes a transcript of her diary from 25 December 1861 to 15 April 1865. Lucy died in 1918.
