Heinrich John Bollinger was born 5 May 1830 in Shaffhausen, Switzerland. His parents were Melchior Bollinger and Maria Ursula Knaus. He married Barbara Holder (1832-1905) 11 August 1853 in St. Louis, Missouri. They had four children. Heinrich died 17 November 1863 in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Switzerland, Missouri and Illinois.
