I don't know what to call him really, a 'Jack the Lad' is what he is, that's what he was, if he saw something laying by the side of the road, if it was owned, he would take it, which included compressors, off temporary traffic lights, he'd pinch carrots around the corner and just get caught, in a field, with his mate Mad Dog.

Mad Dog?

That was his name, don't know what his real name was, but back in the day his name was Mad Dog, and his other mate was Doctor Lewis, and he wasn't a doctor.


Stanley is a book about about my dad's dad, who died some time before I was born.
