This collection contains several pieces of correspondence related to Isaiah Thomas III and his family. There are several letters from Thomas and Mary Caroline to Willie regarding his military service and their plans to depart for Europe from 1862. There is also an 1880 account of the life of Edward Isaiah Thomas in which he mentions the loss of most of his family when the Milwaukee sunk in 1862. Several photographs were removed to the graphic arts collection.
