This field book documents Howard Samuel Irwin's botanical collecting in Brazil in 1958-1959. It consists of a list of specimen numbers 2721-2839. Entries have collection date, description, and habitat. Most have plant name, some only genus or family. Most do not have collection location, but corresponding specimens in the NYBG Herbarium are primarily in Minas Gerais, with a few in Goias and Espirito Santo. Date range is February 24-October 25, 1959. The numbering in the book goes up to 3440, but entries after 2839 are blank and a number of blank pages were removed when the notebook was rebound. The specimen list is continued from Field notes Vol. 130.
