Field notes Vol. 487 documents Howard S. Irwin and Walter Egler's botanical collecting in Brazil in 1961 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition, with co-collector R.M. King. It consists of a list of specimen numbers 45923-46712, collected July 14-October 2, 1961 in Amapá and Pará. The list contains collection locations and dates, description, and herbarium determination (added later and still ongoing). The notebook also contains 2 pages of typewritten collecting notes. This notebook is included with the Bassett Maguire field books. The Maguire field books also have their own volume numbering scheme; this is Vol. 22. Copy 2 is a photocopy made by the NYBG Archives, and may not have all herbarium determinations.
