Résumé du livre

Offering a compilation of diagnostic and treatment preferences, this text is organized in outline form to provide a brief and directed approach to diseases of the head and neck. For medical students entering the fields of otolaryngology, oral surgery, plastic surgery, or general surgery, this text provides protocols originally initiated to clarify new approaches to surgical procedures. It is now expanded to improve understanding of commonly performed surgical approaches, to prepare instrumentation for surgical cases, and to plan for patient positioning, drug administration, and airway management. Also included are nonsurgical patient care protocols useful in wards or in clinics. With the intention to simplify patient care, this text helps make the information readily accessible with up-to-date CPT codes selected to be most descriptive of the procedures, as well as additional codes for coding complex, new, or uncommon procedures.
