As 2014 began, Lauren was enjoying life. By January 14th, she was fighting for her life. In the blink of an eye, H1N1 flu triggered a series of medical complications which led to a coma, a stroke and months of hospitalization.While medical staff prepared for the possibility of death, her family, friends and a special doctor chose the path of faith.
