Tree Growth Responses to Changes in the Physical and Chemical Climate and Methods to Assess Economic Consequences

Discussion of the search for and assessment of appropriate methodologies for climatic change impact assessment for the boreal forest of the Prairie provinces and the Northwest Territories and for the forest industry in these areas. Climate change scenarios are classified and some of their advantages and disadvantages are assessed, along with the implications of relevant methods and findings. A system design is applied to demonstrate and evaluate the linkages and feedbacks among components, including the economic component.
